Fruity Yogurty Waffles (named by Angelfish)

Angelfish is a little sick, so I’ve been trying to give her food she enjoys in order to get some level of nutrition into her. Tonight, I made a tasty little concoction that Angelfish named “Fruity Yogurty Waffles”

Ingredients:
1 frozen waffle or 4 mini waffles (we used Earth’s Best Frozen Mini Waffles – blueberry) – can also be a fresh waffle, but Angelfish prefers them still frozen)
2-3 T vanilla yogurt
2-3 T Strawberry Spread (recipe follows)
Fresh blueberries
Fresh strawberries

Instructions:
Put waffle on plate. Spread yogurt thickly over the top. Spread Strawberry Spread over the yogurt. Sprinkle blueberries over the top. Garish with fresh strawberries. Serve

Strawberry Spread:
Remove leaves and stems. Put strawberries in a pot over med-high heat. Stir. Remove from heat when the mixture is very soft and almost jam-like. Put in a jar. Depending on the strawberries, you won’t need to add any sweetener to the mix. We used fresh-from-the-farmer’s-market strawberries, not the ones from the store. The berries were smaller, but much sweeter and more flavorful.
