Passover Popovers

From my Grandma Etta's kitchen. These are great any time of year, and are wonderful when served with butter or cinnamon-sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold Water
  • ½ cup Oil
  • 1 cup Matzo Meal
  • 1 teaspoons Salt
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Manishewitz wine

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°
  • In a medium pot, bring the Water & Oil to a boil
  • Quickly stir in Matzo Meal & Salt while water is still boiling
  • Remove from heat & let cool slightly
  • Add Eggs, one at a time, stirring occasionally
  • Add Sugar & Wine
  • Pour mixture into a greased muffin tin
  • Bake 30 minutes
